Sales and Marketing Project Manager

The Role

 

UpTrending is seeking a passionate, organized project manager to drive success on internal initiatives in Sales and Marketing.  With proven success in Sales, this role has the potential to expand to larger internal initiatives as needed.  The internal project manager will be tasked with organizing, managing, and improving process, collaborating with team members across departments, and reporting to stakeholders.


Responsibilities

 

Internal Project Management:

  • Manage internal projects ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, on schedule and within scope
  • Create project plans and maintain the schedule for the duration of the project
  • Create overall status reports and lead weekly and/or daily standups with the team and stakeholders
  • Identify and monitor project risks, action items and issues
  • Proactively communicate project status, issues, risks and solutions to executive leadership team
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure overall project or program achieves business goals
  • Work directly with production team members to track progress, identify and resolve issues, and look for ways to accelerate the delivery of the project
  • Support administrative activities on projects by coordinating with internal administrative support to meet a range of contractual and internal requirements

 

Resource Planning:

  • Work with project management team to allocate resources across internal projects and ensure that project staffing is aligned with budgets and requirements

 

Sales:

  • Work with Sales and Leadership teams to further define and evolve the Sales process
  • Implement weekly/monthly tracking and reporting with guidance and direction from Sales and Leadership teams
  • Manage Sales pipeline in terms of updating deals within the CRM, assigning next steps, assigning internal resources as needed, following up on action items, managing estimation process, creating proposals and other documentation, and reporting on Sales activities
  • Ensure Sales targets are met quarterly and report any deviations
  • Maintain working knowledge of UpTrending web process, products and services


Skills and Qualifications

 

  • 2 + years in a project management, sales, or marketing manager role, preferably with a digital agency
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work with remote resources and teams
  • Proven leadership skills working with cross-functional teams
  • Hands-on experience working with CRMs
  • Experience with WordPress CMS prefered
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and a knack for learning and excelling with new tools
  • Must be a great problem solver and solution-oriented
  • Must be an effective communicator verbally and in writing
  • Self-starter who is metric-driven, passionate and able to work autonomously
  • The ideal candidate will be cool under pressure, determined, outgoing, articulate and diplomatic.
